Thank you for assisting JDR with Peer Review. Apart from the manuscript itself, all of the resources that you will need can be accessed from this page, and you do not need to be logged in to access these resources. There are three sections to this page:
- Accessing a Manuscript for review
- Understanding the Peer Review Process
- Submitting the Review
- Follow-up Review
Accessing a Manuscript for Review
The manuscript that you have been asked to review has its own page, which you can ONLY access from your "My Account" menu. You MUST be logged in to do this. If you have access problems, there is help here.
Understanding the Peer Review Process
JDR operates a hybrid Peer Review process of Commissioned Review followed if necessary by Community Peer Review. You can view the Process here.
The JDR Scope and other publication guidance is online here. If you are not familiar with the Journal or have not reviewed for us before, please refer to these pages before proceeding with review.
Performing and Submitting the Review
JDR publishes Research Papers and shorter Research Communications, and the type of manuscript you have been asked to review will be given on its page.
The details of the Peer Review Process differ between Papers and Communications, so please be sure to choose the correct form from the options on the right. Details of the process are given on these pages.
You will continue to have access to the manuscript page and any requested revisions until the manuscript is accepted or rejected. If you have recommended revision, you may subsequently be asked to reassess the revised version. If so, please use the "Assess a Revised Manuscript" form
Please note: if it is obvious that the authors have responded properly to your suggestions, you will not be contacted for further assessment. You can still view the revision and respond if you wish to
