Apart from the manuscript itself, all of the resources that you will need can be accessed from this page, and you do not need to be logged in to access these resources. There are three sections to this page:

Accessing a Manuscript for Review
The manuscript that you have been asked to review has its own page, which you can ONLY access from your "My Account" menu. You MUST be logged in to do this. If you have access problems, there is help here.

Understanding the Peer Review ProcessJDR operates a hybrid Peer Review process of Commissioned Review followed if necessary by Community Peer Review. You can view the Process here.

Performing and Submitting the Review
JDR publishes Research Papers and shorter Research Communications, and the type of manuscript you have been asked to review will be given on its page.
The details of the Peer Review Process differ between Papers and Communications, so please be sure to choose the correct form from the options on the right. Details of the process are given on these pages. If you are asked to review a Research Review or Research Reflection, please use the Research Paper option |
Follow-up Review
You will continue to have access to the manuscript page and any requested revisions until the manuscript is accepted or rejected. If you have recommended revision, you may subsequently be asked to reassess the revised version. If so, please use the "Assess a Revised Manuscript" form.
Please note: if it is obvious that the authors have responded properly to your suggestions, you will not be contacted for further assessment. You can still view the revision and respond if you wish to Important: some manuscripts are revised before Peer Review to address EBM concerns. If you are reviewing a revised manuscript for the first time, use the appropriate review form above. Thank you! |
