The 2018 Next Generation Dairying Workshop focused on the future of dairying research and the dairy industry in Scotland
- Plenary speakers from different dairy research disciplines addressed the topic from the perspectives of global food security, environmental sustainability and animal disease challenges
- Further Plenaries explored the future for Smart Dairy Farming and Smart Dairy Products, with a final keynote focused on postbiotics
- Open Submission sessions featured the work of younger dairy researchers
- A Stakeholder Panel discussed industry needs and aspirations
- Break out panels were held to identify future research priorities in the Scottish dairy sector
- The Workshop Dinner was held at the Whisky Experience on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The After Dinner Speaker was Gary Mitchell, Vice-Chair, NFU Scotland
